We are in total awe of the end of the school year being upon us.
The year has brought many wonderful friendships, experiences, and learning opportunities. Your children are enthusiastic about learning and that makes being their teacher a joy. Our upcoming plans will be memorable and bring closure to the school year and perhaps your child’s journey at Middle Creek. Please be sure to mark your calendar for these important upcoming dates.

On May 7th the Lower and Upper Elementary will be participating in an in-school (by choice) Spelling Bee. The students will be given grade appropriate words and all participants will receive a ribbon at the end.
On Friday, May 10th the Upper Elementary Students will participate in the Festival of the Arts. This will take place in the Barn from 8:45-9:30. The Festival of the Arts is an opportunity for each student to share an aspect of themselves or highlight a special talent. Please join us if you can for this one.
The “Farm Fair” will be for 4th graders only, on Wednesday, May 8th, in Belgrade. Mrs. B. and Samantha Dolan will leave at 8:30 and return by 3:15. A hamburger lunch will be provided. If your child prefers to bring their own lunch, please do so. Water will also be provided. Your child should dress appropriately for the weather and have ranch footwear on for the day. The 5th graders will also have a “surprise” field trip that day with Ms. Jessica, Maleesha Kovnesky, and Sadie Barac.
The Montessori Mile will be held on Wednesday, May 15th at 2:45 for the Upper Elementary students. This event is a fundraiser for our End of the Year field trip to OWLS and Rockhaven on May 21st and 22nd. The cost of the field trip will be $80 per student We are asking that each student strive to raise the money from pledges for this trip. The cost of this trip will include all food and activities for the two days that we are out and about. The paperwork for raising pledges and more details about the field trip will go home on Friday. Feel free to join us on May 16th to cheer on our class (or run with us) as we run a mile around our property.
A “Day of Caring,” led by Gracie Tadvick and her honors society will take place at Middle Creek on Thursday, May 23rd from 9:30-11:30. The high school students will host our annual Field Day with lots of fun activities planned for the Elementary students.
The Lower and Upper Elementary programs will have a small “Moving Up” ceremony and graduation for those leaving us for new schools. This will take place on Wednesday, May 29th on the stage (hopefully) at 2:00. Please join us if you can as we recognize each student’s accomplishments and congratulate them.
I want to truly thank all of you for your support this year. I appreciate willingness to help us get to our many wonderful field trips this year and your constant at home support for your child.
